Irish Job Market Buzz: New Faces Shaking Up the Business Scene

Standard Life International & Phoenix Group Europe has appointed Naomi Dolly as its new Chief Financial Officer. In this role, Dolly will be responsible for ensuring the resilience, effective management, and control of the company’s balance sheet and solvency position. She will also support the CEO in delivering strategies that drive shareholder value. Dolly brings extensive financial leadership experience to the role, having previously served as Group Financial Controller and Head of Group Finance at Irish Life. She has also held senior audit roles in Luxembourg and London, where she advised on the relocation of EU hubs from the UK to Luxembourg for global insurers post-Brexit.

Logicalis UK&I, an IT solutions and managed services firm, has appointed Noel O’Grady as its new Sales Manager. O’Grady will be responsible for driving revenue generation, overseeing go-to-market strategies, and managing the mid-market and new business teams. With 20 years of experience in the IT industry, O’Grady brings expertise in cloud, information security, and data centers. He previously served as Sales Director for Ireland at Sungard Availability Services, where he received recognition as EMEA Manager of the Year in 2021 and Global Salesperson of the Year in 2020. O’Grady has also held leadership positions at Ward Solutions and Fort Technologies, his own cloud infrastructure and software business.

Fieldfisher, a European law firm, has appointed Ciara Burke as a Partner. Burke will lead the data protection and privacy offering at the firm’s Dublin office. With a background in privacy and data protection, Burke joins Fieldfisher from Meta, where she worked as in-house counsel on data protection matters. In her new role, Burke will focus on growing the data protection and privacy offering in the Dublin office, as well as being part of the firm’s global privacy and data practice.

Conrad Dublin, a five-star hotel, has appointed Gregory Brossard as its new Director of Operations. Brossard, a French native with extensive experience in the hospitality industry, will be responsible for overseeing the hotel’s operations. He began his career as a senior waiter at the Michelin Star Le Cinq restaurant in France before working in Saudi Arabia and Japan. In 2021, he became the Resort Manager at Conrad Bora Bora. Brossard expressed his excitement about joining Conrad Dublin and contributing to the hotel’s ongoing success.

Digital Realty, a provider of cloud- and carrier-neutral data center solutions, has appointed Jo-Ann Garbutt as its new Director of Sustainability and Government Engagement. Garbutt, who previously served as Director of Sustainability at Mercury, will be responsible for developing and implementing Digital Realty’s ESG strategy and projects related to its energy and environment roadmap. She brings over 20 years of experience in sustainability and organization development, having worked with various blue-chip companies across Europe, North America, and Asia.

Codex, a B2B office supplier, has appointed Gary Higgins as its new Head of Sales. Higgins will lead the company’s expansion into new markets and brings nearly 30 years of experience in sales and management. He joins Codex from Cash and Carry Kitchens and has previously worked with other Irish retail giants such as DID Electrical, Woodies, and Dunnes Stores. Codex, a family-owned firm with over 40 years of experience, supplies products and services to private companies, educational institutions, and public sector bodies. Higgins expressed his enthusiasm for joining Codex and working with the company’s knowledgeable team.
