Get ready for a rollercoaster weather ride in Dublin: Met Eireann predicts sun, showers, and electrifying thunderstorms!

Met Eireann, Ireland’s national meteorological service, has issued a varied forecast for today. Expect a breezy day with maximum temperatures ranging from 16 to 19 degrees Celsius. There will be a mixture of sunshine and showers, some of which may become heavy and accompanied by thunder. As we move into the evening, further showers are expected, particularly in the northern half of the country. Temperatures will drop to lows of 9 to 12 degrees Celsius. While there is no specific forecast for Dublin, the national outlook provides some insight into the upcoming weather conditions.

On Saturday, we can anticipate a combination of sunny spells and showers. Some of these showers may intensify in the afternoon, potentially bringing thunderstorms. It will be a fresh and breezy day, with temperatures reaching highs of 15 to 19 degrees Celsius, accompanied by northwest winds. During Saturday night, cloud cover will increase from the Atlantic, leading to persistent rain in most areas by dawn on Sunday. Expect temperatures to range from 10 to 12 degrees Celsius, with a moderate westerly breeze.

Sunday will see rain and drizzle clearing eastwards into the Irish Sea during the morning hours. This will be followed by a day of sunshine and scattered showers in the afternoon and evening. Maximum temperatures on Sunday will range from 16 to 20 degrees Celsius, accompanied by a fresh northwest breeze. Sunday night may bring a few showers, but overall, dry weather is expected. Temperatures will drop to lows of 10 to 13 degrees Celsius, with a moderate northwest breeze.
