Dublin’s Weather Whiplash: Met Eireann predicts a sizzling scorcher, but brace for thunderstorms and flooding!

Date:

Met Eireann has predicted another day of stunning sunshine and warm temperatures for Dublin. While there may be some cloud and patchy drizzle in the morning, glorious sunny spells are expected to break through later in the day. Breezy conditions will also develop as southeasterly winds pick up. However, in the evening, showery rain will move in from the west, becoming heavy at times. Daytime temperatures will range from 21 to 23 degrees. Showery rain will clear through the night, with clear spells and showers arriving from the west. Overnight temperatures will be around 12 to 15 degrees.

Tomorrow, Dublin can expect sunny spells and scattered blustery showers, some of which may be heavy with the possibility of isolated thunderstorms. Temperatures will reach around 20 to 22 degrees. The weekend will be mostly unsettled and breezy, with rain or showers. However, temperatures will be slightly above average for this time of year. Better dry spells are anticipated early next week. The national outlook from Met Eireann states that on Friday night, there will be a good deal of cloud with showery outbreaks of rain in the west, spreading across the country. The heaviest rain is expected in the western half. Overnight temperatures will not fall below 13 to 15 degrees, accompanied by moderate to fresh southerly winds.

On Saturday, showery outbreaks of rain will clear eastwards during the morning, followed by sunny spells and heavy, thundery showers, particularly in the west and north, with the possibility of localized flooding. Temperatures will range from 17 to 21 degrees, with moderate to occasionally fresh southwesterly winds. Saturday night will see showers or longer spells of rain continuing, with the potential for further localized flooding. Overnight temperatures will not drop below 10 to 14 degrees, accompanied by mostly moderate southwest winds.

Sunday will bring a mix of sunny spells and widespread showers, with the showers possibly merging into longer spells of rain in the north and west. Temperatures will reach 17 to 21 degrees, with mostly moderate southwesterly winds. Monday is expected to have sunny spells and scattered showers, some of which may be heavy. Temperatures will range from 17 to 20 degrees, with mostly light to moderate westerly breezes.

In conclusion, Dubliners can look forward to another day of sunshine and warm temperatures, although showery rain is expected in the evening. The weekend will be unsettled and breezy, with the possibility of heavy showers and localized flooding. However, better dry spells are anticipated early next week.
