The Cloone Agricultural Show in Co. Leitrim is set to take place on the upcoming bank holiday, August 7th. This year marks the 33rd anniversary of the show, which is held on the Ballinamore road. Organizers are expecting this year’s event to be one of the biggest in years, thanks to the addition of the ‘All Ireland Irish Aberdeen Angus Association Classes’. With a prize fund of €6,000, this new competition is sure to attract a lot of attention.
In addition to the Aberdeen Angus classes, the show will also feature its very own ‘All Ireland Suckler heifer class’. The winner of this competition will walk away with €600 in prize money. With such a diverse range of competitions and activities, the Cloone Agricultural Show caters to a wide variety of interests. Visitors can expect to enjoy cookery demonstrations, sample local food and crafts, and take part in numerous classes such as cookery, arts and crafts, photography, and even a lego competition. The show will also showcase Highland cattle and offer a mini digger and ball pit for children to enjoy. Soccer skills demonstrations and a jiving competition will also be highlights of the day.

Prior to the show, the annual raffle will take place tonight, July 22nd, in the Dugout Bar in Aughavas, Co. Leitrim. This raffle is always a popular event and helps to generate excitement and anticipation for the main show.
