Unsettled Weather Continues with Showers and Thunderstorms Forecasted by Met Eireann
Good morning, folks! Another miserable day is in store as the unsettled weather is showing no sign of letting up. Met Eireann has forecasted more downpours with some possibly turning thundery. Today will start off with a mix of cloud and sunny spells with further showers. Some showers will turn heavy during the afternoon and evening bringing a chance of thundery downpours. Daytime temperatures will be around 18 to 20 degrees. Tonight will be partly cloudy with some more outbreaks of rain and temperatures will hit the lows of 9 to 12 degrees.
Tomorrow will see more scattered showers with some bright and sunny spells. Temperatures will be around 18 to 20 degrees. There is no further forecast for Dublin but here’s what the national outlook says:
A Met Eireann forecaster said: “Becoming dry for many areas with clear spells but with a few showers lingering over Ulster and Atlantic coastal areas. Lowest temperatures of 9 to 12 degrees in mainly light westerly breezes.
“Thursday will bring a further mix of sunny spells and showers. Highest temperatures of 16 to 18 degrees in light west to southwest breezes.
“Friday will be a cloudier day with patchy light rain initially, giving way to more persistent and potentially heavy outbreaks of rain for many areas through the day and overnight. Highest temperatures of 16 to 19 degrees in moderate south to southeast winds, stronger near coasts.
“It will remain unsettled for the weekend with further heavy showers or spells of rain expected. It will be breezy and blustery too with temperatures in the mid to high teens. There will be sunny breaks too.”
