To use Help Me Write for Gmail, users can sign up for the Workspace Labs program by going to Labs.WithGoogle.com and clicking on Join Waitlist under Google Workspace. Users can then log in using their Gmail account. If there is no waitlist, users can jump right into using Gmail’s Help Me Write on their mobile app.
Once enrolled, users can open the Gmail mobile app and start a new message. At the bottom right of the screen, there should be a button that says ‘Help Me Write’. Tapping on this button opens the generative AI tool that will generate the email. Users can then enter the prompt for what they want their email to convey. It is important to include any pertinent information that should be included in the email, such as dates, dollar amounts, names, addresses, and company names.
Users can provide feedback on whether the generated response met their needs or not by giving it a thumbs up or down. If they are not happy with the response, they can regenerate it by tapping on the circular arrow on the screen. Once users are done editing their email and are ready to send, they can press send.
