Goodbye Sunshine, Hello Showers: Met Eireann Predicts Wet Weather Across Ireland, Including Cork!

"Met Eireann predicts a break in sunny spells as heavier showers loom over Ireland"

Met Eireann predicts a change in the weather as heavier showers are expected to roll in, bringing a break to the sunny spells. While temperatures are expected to reach 19C around Cork today, the weather will be much more grey compared to the past week. Rain is expected to come up from the south coast and continue into the night before clearing up on Monday with “long spells of sunshine developing”.

The morning will be cloudy but largely dry, apart from isolated patches of drizzle. However, a few sunny spells will develop in the afternoon, but scattered showers will bubble up in southern coastal areas as the day goes on. The highest temperatures will range from 16 to 19 degrees in a light northerly breeze. Tonight will remain cloudy with well-scattered patches of light rain and drizzle. A few clear spells will develop towards morning, with lowest temperatures ranging from 7 to 10 degrees in a light to moderate northerly breeze.

Tomorrow morning, any rain will clear to the south, and it will be dry for the rest of the day with long spells of sunshine developing. The highest temperatures will range from 16 to 18 degrees in moderate northerly winds. Tuesday will see some more good spells return, with “hazy sunshine” rolling in with a few clouds here and there.

As the weather changes, it is important to stay up to date with the latest forecasts from Met Eireann. While the sunny spells may be taking a small break, there is still plenty to look forward to in the coming days. Whether you are planning a day out or simply enjoying the sunshine from your garden, it is important to stay safe and protected from the elements.

Remember to wear sunscreen, drink plenty of water, and take breaks in the shade when necessary. With a little bit of preparation and some common sense, you can make the most of the changing weather and enjoy everything that Ireland has to offer. So, stay tuned for the latest updates and get ready to embrace the new season with open arms!
