Dublin Weather Forecast: Changeable Conditions Ahead with Thundery Showers Expected Later This Week

Met Eireann has forecast changeable conditions for the coming days in Dublin, with “thundery showers” expected later this week. Today, scattered showers will quickly clear away in the morning and the rest of the day will be mostly dry, with a mix of cloud and hazy sunny spells. The highest temperatures will reach 15 or 16 degrees in light to moderate northwesterly winds. Tonight will be mostly dry in the capital with clear spells, but some mist and fog will form as winds fall light variable or calm. It will be a chiller night with lows of 5 or 6 degrees.

Tuesday will bring a fair amount of cloud and some hazy sunny spells at times throughout Dublin. It will be dry in most areas with just the chance of a few stray patches of drizzle. Mild with highs of 14 to 16 degrees, in mostly light south to southeast winds.

Met Eireann’s national outlook says that Wednesday will start quite dull with some patchy light rain or drizzle mostly in Connacht, Ulster, and west Munster. Some brighter spells will develop for the afternoon in the north and east, but it will be dull elsewhere with patchy rain or drizzle at times. Temperatures will be between 12 and 17 degrees, coolest along eastern and southern coasts in moderate to occasionally fresh southeast winds.

Thursday will be dry with sunny spells in the north at first. However, it will turn into a mostly cloudy day with easterly winds freshening as outbreaks of rain slowly spread from the south through the day. The highest temperatures will be between 11 to 15 degrees.

On Friday, there will be a day of sunny spells and slow-moving heavy or thundery showers. Highs of 15 or 16 degrees are expected.

Despite the changeable weather conditions, Dubliners can still make the most of their week by taking advantage of the many indoor and outdoor activities the city has to offer. From museums to art galleries, cinemas to theatres, and parks to gardens, there is something for everyone to enjoy.

So, whether you prefer to stay indoors or venture out, be sure to stay up-to-date with the latest weather forecasts and plan your week accordingly. Stay safe and have fun!
