Get ready to soak up the sun: Met Eireann predicts scorching weekend after warm and sunny day in Dublin

"Ireland to Sizzle in Mid-20 Degrees as Mini-Heatwave Continues, Independent Forecaster Reveals"

Hello, readers! The Emerald Isle has been basking in glorious sunshine this week with warm temperatures and clear skies. The good news is that the mini-heatwave is set to continue, with independent forecasters predicting temperatures in the mid-20s and possibly even higher in some areas next week. Weather Alerts Ireland took to Facebook to share their predictions, stating that high pressure will remain over Ireland, ensuring settled and dry weather.

Temperatures are expected to rise over the coming days, with some areas already experiencing highs of over 20 degrees. Dublin will see bright spells today, although there may be some cloud cover. Temperatures will range from 18 to 20 degrees, with a dry and mostly clear night to follow and lows of 7 to 9 degrees. Tomorrow will bring another dry day with plenty of sunshine and temperatures again reaching 18 to 20 degrees.

Met Eireann’s national outlook provides further information for Dublin and the rest of the country. Friday night will be mostly clear and calm with lows of 6 to 10 degrees. Mist and fog patches may form. Saturday will see some cloud cover with the possibility of a few showers, but mostly dry with occasional sunny breaks. Northwest breezes will be light to moderate, and temperatures will range from 16 to 21 or 22 degrees, with the south and southeast experiencing the warmest temperatures and the best sunshine. Saturday night will bring variable cloud cover with some clear spells, and lowest temperatures of 7 to 11 degrees with light northerly winds.

Sunday will be somewhat cooler, with highs ranging from 14 degrees in the north to around 19 degrees in the south. There will be some cloud with sunny spells, becoming mostly sunny later in the afternoon. Northeast breezes will be light.

It’s important to stay safe in the sun and avoid prolonged exposure during the hottest parts of the day. Sunscreen, hats, and staying hydrated are all key to enjoying the weather while protecting yourself.

In other news, multiple addiction recovery cycling clubs are set to be established across the country, providing a supportive community for those in recovery while promoting physical activity and mental well-being. It’s inspiring to see initiatives like this that prioritize both physical and mental health, and we hope to see more programs like this in the future.

That’s all for now, folks. Stay safe and enjoy the sunshine!
