Dublin Weather Forecast: A Mix of Rain and Sunshine for the Week Ahead
Dublin is set to experience a mix of rain and sunshine for the week ahead. While a wet and rainy morning is expected today, the rest of the week is set to be much drier up until Thursday. The start of the week will be cool unless in direct sunlight, but the later part of the week will be much warmer with highs of 20c in some areas. Next weekend will be much the same with large dry spells and temperatures in the high teens.
Met Eireann’s forecast for the week reads: Today will be mostly cloudy and damp to begin with patchy rain and drizzle. It will become drier from afternoon with limited sunny spells and scattered light showers developing. It will be cool with highest temperatures of 11 to 14 degrees in moderate, occasionally fresh, northwest winds. Tonight will be generally dry with long clear spells, and just the chance of an isolated shower. Lowest temperatures of 4 to 7 degrees in light to moderate west to northwest winds.
Tomorrow will start mostly dry and bright. Cloud will build through the afternoon with just isolated showers breaking out, followed by long spells of evening sunshine. It will remain cool with highest temperatures of 11 to 14 degrees in moderate northwest winds. Monday night will be mostly dry and clear, with the chance of isolated light showers. Lowest temperatures of 4 to 8 degrees in light northwesterly winds.
Tuesday will be a largely dry day with sunny spells and just well scattered light showers. It will feel warmer with highest temperatures of 13 to 17 degrees in light to moderate northwest winds. Tuesday night will be dry overnight with clear spells. Lowest temperatures of 5 to 8 degrees, with patches of mist and fog developing as winds fall light and variable.
Wednesday will be another largely dry day, with sunshine for many and just isolated light showers. Highest temperatures of 14 to 18 degrees in light southwesterly or variable winds. Thursday will see cloud building in the west early on as outbreaks of rain develop, becoming patchy as it moves eastwards through the day. Sunny spells and scattered showers will follow from the west. Highest temperatures of 14 to 17 degrees, with light to moderate southwesterly winds, veering westerly as the rain passes.
Current indications suggest that high pressure will remain the dominant influence over our weather for the end of the week. It will stay generally dry and bright with temperatures in the high teens or low twenties.
