One such DIY fan is Sera, who goes by the name of wisteria.house on TikTok. She recently shared her simple yet effective patio transformation, which has gone viral. Sera started by jet washing her patio several times to remove any dirt and grime. She then realised that the concrete slabs needed to be painted. Using a roller and brush, Sera painted the tiles with Sandtex Ultra Smooth Masonry Paint in Cornish Cream, which costs around £27. She then added setting sand as grout and brushed it into the gaps before wetting the sand and leaving it to set.
Sera revealed that she completed this transformation a year ago, and it still looks great. However, she does anticipate that it will need touching up over time, just like any painted surface. Her affordable and straightforward approach has inspired many others to take on their own garden makeovers.
