Nisbets Expands Operations in Cork, Creating 20 New Jobs in National Distribution Centre and Showroom

Global hospitality equipment distributor, Nisbets, has opened a new national distribution centre and showroom in Cork, creating 20 new jobs with plans for further staff expansion later this year.

The multinational firm provides catering equipment and restaurant supplies to professional hospitality businesses throughout Europe and has been in operation in Ireland for 30 years, serving over 30,000 customers.

Nisbets employs over 2,000 people globally and has offices in the UK, Ireland, Holland, France, Australia and New Zealand. With the opening of the new facility in Blarney Business Park, Nisbets now has a total of 39 employees in Cork and aims to create more jobs in 2023 across field sales, the contact centre, and warehouse.

This expansion will bring the total number of employees in Ireland to 60.

The new distribution centre, which spans 62,000 sq ft, will also serve as the company’s Irish head office. Nisbets offers over 6,000 products for bars, hotels, restaurants and home kitchens on site, with an additional 22,000 lines available online, along with expert advice and product demonstrations.

The showroom is open to both trade and public customers. Speaking at the official opening event, Minister for Finance Michael McGrath TD praised the expansion and job creation by Nisbets, stating the food, catering and hospitality industries are important sectors of the Irish economy.

Managing Director for UK & Ireland, Robin White, expressed delight with the Irish team expansion and confirmed the company’s commitment to offering the best experience to customers.

General Manager for Ireland, Eoghan Donnellan, added that Nisbets is committed to providing a seamless and hassle-free way to acquire catering equipment, with a wealth of experience in the sector.
