Advanced Medical Services Group Launches New Diagnostics Centre in Cork City

Advanced Medical Services Group has recently launched a new consultant-led diagnostics centre in Cork City, located near the newly developed Marina Park and Páirc Uí Chaoimh.

The company, founded by CEO Ed Donovan in 2010, provides a range of medical services including health screening, at-home health checks, and vaccinations to corporates, hospitals, education institutions, sporting organisations, and SMEs.

AMS has continuously expanded its services and added to its portfolio, including occupational health software solutions last year, and now offering access to electrocardiograms, echocardiograms, and pulmonary function tests.

The company has seen a significant increase in demand for its services, especially in the corporate sector where companies recognize the benefits of providing health and wellness services for their employees.

AMS CEO Ed Donovan believes the COVID-19 pandemic has reminded us of the importance of health and getting checked out regularly, leading to a surge in demand for their services. The pandemic also accelerated their development of home-based health checks, a service already included in their strategic plan, and COVID-19 testing.

In response to the growing demand for diagnostic tests, AMS, in partnership with three hospital consultants, has established an outpatient diagnostic centre to address the unmet demand for critical tests like echocardiograms and pulmonary function testing.

Looking ahead, with Cork’s population increasing annually, AMS plans to expand its range of diagnostic testing and medical services to help take pressure off the healthcare system by offering direct access diagnostics and other medical solutions that can help keep patients out of the hospital setting.

AMS is excited to implement phase one of its plan with the opening of its first diagnostic centre in March and plans to further expand its range of diagnostic and medical services in the near future, alongside expanding its occupational health software and health screening services.
