Weather In Cork: Decent forecast but temps set to take a dive

Met Eireann has predicted a “mix of cloud and sunny spells” for Cork today, with temperatures in the early double digits – making it an ideal day for venturing out.

The forecast changes this evening however as our national forecaster said that there will be “outbreaks of rain” moving in from the west, although these are expected to “clear away quickly.”

So if you’re hitting the town it’s best to be prepared with an umbrella or raincoat. Thursday on the other hand is stated to start off dry with sunshine later in the day, and still fairly cool at 7 to 9 degrees celsius. All in all, pretty grand weather ahead.

Today

Today’s weather will start off with dry conditions and a mix of cloud and sunshine. Southwest winds will become fresh and gusty, but temperatures are expected to stay in the range of 8-10 degrees Celsius.

This evening, rainshowers will move in from the northwest before turning colder as they clear away.

Overnight the rain should be mostly gone, leaving chilly temperatures of -2 to +2 with light-moderate westerly airflow.

Thursday 9th

Thursday looks dry and sunny, although temperatures may not get much warmer than 7-9 degrees Celsius in prevailing westerly or southwest winds.
