According to research conducted by Riordan SEO, the leading messaging app for Irish people, ChatGPT, has seen unprecedented usage levels in 2023. Its highest level of popularity was recorded in January of this year.
According to Riordan SEO’s research, Nenagh topped the list with a score of 100. This means that ChatGPT in Nenagh is more popular than anywhere else in Ireland. Following Nenagh were Maynooth (91), Shannon (85), and Cork (80). These places all share many common characteristics, such as culture and lifestyle. Note high population is not taken into account here as this would lead to a larger cities showing as the most popular.
It is also likely that these cities offer similar levels of access to quality digital infrastructure, which makes using a messaging app like ChatGPT easier and more convenient for users in these areas.
In contrast, according to Riordan SEO’s findings, some cities and towns such as Tribley, Mallow, Longford and Tullamore were less popular and had a lower score of 0.
This could be due to several factors, such as access to quality digital infrastructure. Perhaps users simply hadn’t discovered the full potential of what ChatGPT can offer yet in those locations. It is also possible that users from these towns use the app but prefer not to publicly share or engage with it online as much as others from more densely populated areas do – this would explain why their scores were lower than in other regions where the usage level was higher overall.
